The Dunts are set to play a sold-out headliner show at Stereo on Friday 25th January. Embodying a true punk spirit, the headline hometown show is a DIY fundraiser show ahead of their appearance at esteemed American music event SXSW. Widely known for packing out and decimating live venues throughout the city – The Priory, Broadcast, King Tuts – the Glaswegian quartet promise a show unlike any other.
The Dunts won Best Newcomer at 2018’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards after a breakthrough year which saw the young four-piece sell out notable local venues, including King Tuts.
Gaining momentum, they’ve earnt support from the likes of Radio X’s John Kennedy and BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens with singles ‘Witch Hunt’ and ‘Birds and The Beez’ from their latest EP, ‘Self Proclaimed Council Punk’ as well as ‘Dimitri’ from their debut EP ‘Not Working Is Class’, before conquering Electric Fields, Belladrum and Reading & Leeds.
The Dunts are Rab Smith, David McFarlane, Colin McGachy and Kyle McGhee.
Their self-released EPs ‘Not Working Is Class’ and ‘Self Proclaimed Council Punk’ were produced by Chris Marshall (Gerry Cinnamon, Rascalton, The Van-T’s) and Johnny Madden (Baby Strange), recorded at 7 West Studios.
