Distinctive and influential, The Jesus and Mary Chain have discarded their self-destructive tendencies to carve out a new lease of life as an enigmatic touring presence, even finding time to record their first studio album since 1998 – Damage and Joy, released in 2017.

The music project of East Kilbride brothers Jim and William Reid, the band still have the ability to surprise.

This morning it was announced that the band would play a 300 capacity gig in the performance space below Stereo Cafe Bar on Renfield Lane.

Tickets are on sale now and there will be international interest in seeing the band at such close quarters. The gig is on Thursday 19th March.

In recent years, The Jesus and Mary Chain have been semi-regular performers at the Barrowlands. A new album is expected next year.
