Tom Walker, winner of the 2019 BRITs Breakthrough Award, and nominee for Best Single at the 2020 BRITs, has announced the line-up of up-and-coming artists to support him on his sold out Home Run acoustic tour, which visits six towns and cities in February.
The singer, whose album What A Time To Be Alive hit Number 1 in the UK and has sold over a million copies around the world, wanted to give the opportunity for his fans to discover some of the best new UK talent at his only UK headline tour in 2020.
The main support artists were chosen from hundreds of entries sent in after Tom invited applications for this opportunity.
“The Home Run tour combines everything I love,” says Tom. “Playing acoustically is always a buzz because there’s something really intimate and special with the audience when the songs are stripped right back to their basics. I love playing on home turf, where the fans really treat you as family and have given me a huge amount of support from when I was just starting out. I’m really excited to have all the support artists on board for the tour and to give a little boost to a local artist each night. It’s not that long since I was trying to get onto gigs as the opening act and it can really make a difference to your career by playing to new audiences who have the chance to hear you for the first time. To be able to offer that opportunity on this tour is amazing.”

Main – Be Charlotte joins Tom as support act.
Opening – Sara n Junbug “are a independent indie-pop band with ear-worm choruses, a Glaswegian charm and vibrant energetic performances. Front women Sara Rae and Junbug Nicoll will perform at the Glasgow show. In October 2019 they featured in Emeli Sande’s Street Symphony on BBC Scotland and BBC One, and went on to support Emeli at her Glasgow and Edinburgh tour dates.”
