East End boy Joesef played two sold out gigs at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. It was an important marker as he prepares for his first London show later this month.
A singer and songwriter who makes deerply personal music that seems to draw inspiration from another age. Motown grooves, hip hop beats and jazz guitar layered under an attention-grabbing, ethereal voice.
Before the Tut’s performance, Joesef released his third single, Don’t Give In, recorded in his bedroom studio on Alexandra Parade.
He received a first play from Annie Mac on his second single Loverboy, and has garnered support across Radio 1, 6 Music, 1Xtra and Beats 1 as well as being named an Apple Music’s Artist of The Week and interviewed for Vogue.
