The SSE Live Awards are calling fans to vote for their favourite live events that took place at The SSE Hydro in 2018. Now in its fourth year, the SSE Live Awards will this year feature voting categories, meaning there will be more winners than ever before across ‘Best Sporting Event, ‘Best Comedy Show’, ‘Best Live Entertainment’, ‘Best Solo Artist’ and ‘Best Group’.
The SSE-sponsored venue is celebrating an incredible year in live entertainment with shows including Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Kevin Bridges, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Shania Twain, Courteeners, Simple Minds and Florence & The Machine all receiving fan-hype and rave reviews in 2018.
The previous UK wide campaign garnered over a million votes across all venues with Andy Murray Live winning the award for the second year running, joining previous winner Paolo Nutini to take the coveted SSE Live Awards crown for The SSE Hydro.
With voting open until Feb 4th 2019, anyone can cast their vote, not just SSE customers. With Twitter reviews ranging from “Outrageous scenes” for Liam Gallagher, to “Dynamite” for Lauryn Hill and “Insane” for Game of Thrones Live, the SSE Live Awards give fans the chance to shout about the show that made an important impact on their year.
There is a phenomenal range of world class events to choose from including the likes of Premier League Darts and WWE Live in the ‘Best Sporting Event’ category, Michael McIntyre and Kevin Bridges in the ‘Best Comedy Show’ category, Disney On Ice and Game of Thrones – The Live Concert Experience in the ‘Best Live Entertainment’ category, Kylie Minogue + Paul Simon in the ‘Best Solo Artist’ category and finally, The Vamps and Arcade Fire in the ‘Best Group’ category.
Fans can vote for their favourite act that performed at the venue in 2018 HERE. The act who receives the most votes from their fans in each category will be announced as the SSE Live Awards winners in February 2019. Not only will fans have the chance to decide the SSE Live Awards winners, but they can also be in with the chance of winning tickets and VIP experiences at The SSE Hydro in 2019.
