A new twice monthly market launches tomorrow at the revitalised Argyle Street Arches. It will run alongside street food event Platform, which has brought new flavours to the city centre.
Visitors to Super Market can shop at a selection of independent retailers from across the city and beyond including some of the best stallholders from Glasgow Vintage & Flea Market, in this famous location right next to Central Station.
Look out for The Dispensary Bar, a local cocktail collective. They make all of their own bitters, liqueurs and syrups. For example, their strawberry daiquiri contains freshly squeezed lime juice, homemade strawberry syrup which includes 4-5 strawberries per serving and Sailor Jerry Rum. There is a distinct absence of artificial ingredients.
We recently received their cocktail prescription pack for an old fashioned. The box included handcrafted orange bitters that are made from around 15 large oranges, a mix of spices, overproof rum and fresh demerara syrup. It takes around 2 weeks to make. It arrives with individual bottles, including Buffalo trace bourbon, a recipe card and a glass. Other options include their best selling bramble cocktail.
Talk to The Dispensary Bar tomorrow at Super Market to find out more about their delicious drinks.
