Limmy is planning monthly half-hour episodes of his Homemade Show. The comedian first became known for his podcast, Limmy’s World of Glasgow, and has been a prolific creator of YouTube videos and surreal Vines outside of his output on mainstream television.
The Limmy Show on BBC Scotland was an unlikely success and was subsequently added to Netflix. The uncompromising series is unlikely to return, but his observations on life and quick-fire sketches set in Glasgow will soon find a new outlet thanks to a crowdfunding initiative.
Limmy’s Patreon page can be found here. The US-based website allows creators to seek monthly contributions from viewers as they produce online videos.
Limmy announced his intention to create one half-hour episode per month with other extra footage available to those who become a patron at a higher level.
This new initiative comes after the launch of his recent book, That’s Your Lot.
