Some of the greatest villains from the DC Comics universe are set to team up in Suicide Squad and the first trailer for the highly-anticipated film has arrived.
After a record-breaking year for cinema in 2015, the hits keep coming in 2016. There were five movies that grossed over a billion dollars worldwide, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is currently the second biggest grossing movie of all time.
With a ferocious appetite for comic book movies continuing to equal big box-office, Suicide Squad is one of a series of new franchises on the way looking to win over audiences .
A stellar ensemble cast includes Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie (pictured above), Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as a team of anti-heroes deployed by the government to combat an even more dastardly threat. Those that survive can expect to feature in follow-up movies, including those planned for Justice League characters Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
